Our Favorite Apps - August Edition

Let's promise ourselves to stay technologically trendy. Meaning we stay up-to-date with all of those awesome apps that make our lives more useful, functional, and just plain fun. For this month, we're sharing our favorite apps of the moment! From organizing our lives to finding a clean bathroom in the area, these 5 apps have made it into our hearts. Now go download and enjoy! 1. Charmin's Sit or Squat - This free app is by the providers of the awesome toilet paper and allows users to rate his/her experiences at public bathrooms! Pretty simple and yet so informative. Simply let the public and your friends know if restrooms around your city are clean (aka Sit) or dirty (aka Squat).

2. Afterlight - This app is awesome for photo editing. I've stopped using the general filters already in Instagram and use Afterlight exclusively for editing my photos with a fun gradient or vintage filter. This app costs a mere $0.99, but is so worth the dollar as there are a ton of filters and textures you can add to your photos for that extra oomph-factor.

3. A Beautiful Mess - Made by bloggers for bloggers, this photo editing app is the epitome of cute. Costing another $0.99 (trust me, these dollars are worth it!), you're able to add "custom filters, fun fonts and hand-drawn doodles by Elsie and Emma, creators of the award-winning lifestyle blog, 'A Beautiful Mess.'"

4. Cartwheel by Target - If you shop at Target, you want this free app. If you don't shop at Target...I don't even know what to say. I'm a huge Target-aholic so this Cartwheel app is awesome because it offers extra discounts on products throughout the store. Just scroll through the app's categories, add coupons that you want into your "Cartwheel," and wait for a single bar code to generate for all of your coupons during checkout. Voila!

5. Feedly - You probably already know that I love Feedly. Ever since Google Reader decided to shout down, I've been using Feedly to organize my favorite blogs into for easy daily reading. This free app is the best way I keep up with relevant news sources, blogs and websites because of it's awesome layout. Don't say I didn't warn you if you get hooked!

So tell us, what are some of your favorite apps this month?
